After completing my latest commission, I was re-enticed by the era of Silent film actresses once again. This time I am focussing my interests on Anna May Wong, the first Chinese American actress of the era to become an international star. I chose to surround her with powerful images from Chinese culture and key elements highlighting her career. I plan on painting this on a large 4'x6' canvas, my challenge of the New Year....
