Peakaboo ties for Goorin

To celebrate our love of vintage ties the art department has been at work creating our version of the classic Peakaboo Tie. These ties first became an icon in American Fashion after World War II with the explosion of the Pinup Girl craze. The traditional construction of this tie matches a vintage fabric with a Pinup Girl sown into the lining of the tie. Goorin superstars Anna and Amanda Lynn teamed up to create a line of these classic Peakaboo Ties with our own Pinup Girls. All of us liked Amanda's paintings for the ties so much that you might find one or two hiding in a matching fedora when this collection launches.

After Dinner Guest sketch

I am starting a new series called the Fabulous 40's, inspired by a really great picture book of woman stars from the 1940's. I am looking forward to this new subject matter. This is my first sketch, titled, 'After Dinner Guest', I am going to paint it on a 40"x60" canvas.

My Vicious Krystal makes me smile!

I woke up this morning in not the greatest mood, checked my email, and Dylan Maddux had sent me some sneak peaks of our Vixen photoshoot with the lovely Krystal. The shots look awesome, they are both sooo talented and I am sooo lucky! This pic was my favorite though, and think its my new bio shot. Thanks again Dylan and Krystal!

Mary Ester Grazier

The most beautiful and kind woman I have ever known passed away last night, quietly and peacefully, just as she was in life, forever elegant. Her name was Mary Ester Grazier but to me she was Gramma. I aspire nothing more in life but to share some of her character, she loved children so much and made my life magical, she taught me the beauty of nature and the simplicity of a smile. I feel her all around me whenever I need help and feel alone, and I am so happy to have been blessed with the love of her. Rest peacefully Gramma, you will forever be a piece of me.

Newest Vixen Photoshoot w/ Krystal

I had the best night last night in a beautiful loft with a beautiful model and amazing photographer. Dylan Maddux shot the second set of our combined Vixen series. The new and exquisite vicious vixen model is Krstal Gervacio, she was such a pleasure to work with and I am really excited to start a whole new series of paintings inspired by her!

Freelance work...

I got a pretty cool freelance job custom painting a filing cabinet. Here is the beginning of it, the theme is Day of the Dead skulls with cool insects. The base is painted in purple metallic and kandy auto paint, then I'm painting the images and adding gold leaf before I clear coat and finish like a custom automotive paint job....
