This past weekend I enjoyed some good times with Lady Mags and Lindsey Millikan (aka. Milli) painting up the boarded up walls and windows of my neighborhood liquor store. A couple of months ago our entire block stood in horror as we watched our favorite corner store, cafe, and home to over 37 people go up in flames. I am very honored to have been able to bring a little brightness to a dark story.

Cassel Gallery and GoorinBros. Hat Company invite you to a special, private closing reception for the art exhibit, Flora N Fauna, curated by Amandalynn. Flora N Fauna is an interdisciplinary group exhibition that illuminates the participating artist’s utilization of nature in their art practice. The exhibition calls attention to the myriad of ways nature and natural elements can be employed in art making, ranging from depictions of flora, to abstractions calling on patterns found in nature, digital collage photography, sculpture composed of woodland elements, and many engagements in between.
This is an exclusive invite to you, as the intention is to keep this an intimate evening, enjoyed by avid art enthusiasts, such as yourself. Please feel free to bring guests that share your mutual artist appreciation. The reception runs from 7-10pm, Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 at Cassel Gallery.

I finished up this piece, titled 'Scared Crow' early this morning for an upcoming show at Wonderland SF Gallery. I was told the show is formed loosely around the idea of the Wizard of OZ. This is my depiction of one of the 'other' scared crows who may have lost her mind...
She's painted on canvas, collaged papers, and dried grasses in acrylic, 30"x40" and framed. The opening for this show happens this coming Friday, July 27th from 6-10pm at Wonderland SF, 2929 24th Street, SF, CA.
