Conserving Louise Nevelson's 'Ocean's Gate'

I just finished up a big project yesterday with Tracy Powers and her conservation crew. We cleaned up, patched up and refinished Louise Nevelson's sculpture, 'Ocean's Gate', which is on display at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. It was a tedious process, but with help of Tracy and her crew, it turned out to be a success. We also had great help from the de Young conservation staff, led by Lesley Bone. For a complete break down of the process check out the de Young blog
