Head over Heels opens this Saturday!

Amandalynn will be displaying all new works in her upcoming solo show, 'Head over Heels'. Inspired by silent film actresses and showgirls of the 1920's-40's, Amandalynn pays tribute to these women by capturing them in provocative yet classy portraits. She will be accompanied by floral artist and designer, Renee Fontana, who will also be paying homage to this era by drawing inspiration from British educator and florist, Constance Spry. Amandalynn will also be collaborating on pieces with one of her favorite photographers, Erin Ashford, who will be contributing pieces from her continuing queer burlesque series  from the South. This particular set of imagery was inspired by Josephine Baker of the Harlem Renaissance. Other contributing artists include :  Megan Shaffer, Margaretta, Prairie Prince, Christa Baker, and Susan Grazier. The opening reception will take place at the Cassel Gallery in San Francisco on Saturday, June 4th, 2011, from 8pm-11pm and the show will open for viewing the entire month of June.
