Documentary film on Alynn-Mags

Early this year Lady Mags and I, aka. Alynn-Mags , were approached by Fallout Pictures with interest in doing a documentary film on our mural production process. They came out and filmed each of us individually in our separate studios, then stood by filming for two days while we created a new piece. It's a beautiful documentary, that definitely captures the Alynn-Mags connection!

'Zodiac' prints and paintings now available Online!

Just in time for some holiday action, A.Lynn-Mags are releasing their newest run of 'Zodiac' prints.  Each image of the series is being released in a run of 6 prints, signed and numbered by both Artists. The World Famous Seventh Letter Flagship Store & Gallery Opening

This Saturday, December 7th, 2013 marks a great moment for The World Famous Seventh Letter Crew , with the opening of their Flagship store and Gallery. The Seventh Letter is a world renowned collection of extremely talented artists, friends and family. 

  I am very pleased to be displaying my newest painting opening night in the new gallery space. It's titled 'For the Kids', a collaged paper piece painted in acrylic on wood panel. Below is a cropped view of the final image....

'Zodiac' art exhibit by Alynn-Mags

This coming Friday, November 8th,  2013 from 7-10pm Cukcui Gallery will be hosting A.Lynn-Mags newest exhibition, 'Zodiac'. 

 'Zodiac' is an art exhibit dedicated to the divisions of our Sun’s path, illuminated by color and observation. Both artists, Amandalynn and Lady Mags, contribute their individual interpretations of each sign into every piece. All 12 of the Zodiac signs will be represented by extracting color and movement through the convergence of blending mediums and styles.

Letter Heads exhibit at Modern Eden

I was invited to participate in Letter Heads, a group show curated by Leon Loucheur and Dave Foto featuring works incorporating elements of lettering including graphic design, font, graffiti, and figurative work. The show opens Saturday, November 9th, 2013 from 6-10pm at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco. 

This is my piece titled 'Scarlet Letter', she is painted in acrylic and automotive paint on wood panel, and is 12"x16". 

  I also collaborated with Lady Mags on an 'A.Lynn-Mags' painting done in watercolor, acrylic, and pencil on paper. This piece is a special piece combining Mags' unique watercolor style with a subtle self portrait of the two of us. The portrait images are inspired from photos taken by the very talented Nick Lea Bruno . 

 

 I am very honored to be a part of this exhibition, which includes a very strong line up of artists, in a very beautiful gallery space. 

'Lustful Gluttony' for 7 Deadly Sins show

This piece, 'Lustful Gluttony', will be on display at Wonderland SF Gallery this coming Saturday, November 2nd, 2013. It is part of their 'Los 7 Pecados Capitales / 7 Deadly Sins' group art show.

This piece embodies two different sins - Lust and Gluttony, and was inspired by the  model and actress, Kate Upton, as well as my favorite Hamburglar - Sleazy McCheesy .

'Lustful Gluttony' is painted in acrylic on vellum and illustration board, and framed in an oval frame with bubbled glass.

'Drawn to You' Art Exhibit opening this Friday

'Drawn to You' is an art exhibit curated by Amandalynn, which highlights collaborations and solo expressions in fine art, photography, modelling, sculpture, and everything that happens in between.

 

The show opens this Friday, October 4th, 2013 from 6-10pm at Wonderland Gallery in San Francisco, CA.  Featured artists include: Amandalynn, Lady Mags, Bethany Pifer, Megan Shaffer, Henry Alfonso Navarro, Lucien Shapiro, and Robert Bowen . 

The inspiration for this exhibition began almost a year ago, when Amandalynn was introduced to Bethany Pifer at an art opening at Wonderland Gallery. Amanda knew right away that Bethany would be an amazing subject of inspiration for future paintings. Bethany, already a professional model, invited Amanda to collaborate on a new photoshoot with Henry Navarro. The concept was to create illustrated props, melding the ideas of photography and illustration into one final piece.

The first collaboration between photograhper, model, and artist went so well that the team decided to create an entire exhibition around the idea, including another shoot and more artists. For the second photoshoot, Amandalynn invited her painting partner, Lady Mags, to assist in the props and design. Mags brought a new fine art touch to the collaboration with her signature watercolor patterns.

'Drawn to You' is an exhibition unique in it's collaborative and artistic expressions. Creating this new work has been an incredibly inspiring experience. A special thanks to everyone assisting on this project, including our extremely talented hair and makeup artists : Sofie Lynn , Jessica Carlisle Lee , Karafina , and Suzy Tamimi .
