IRONLAK MIA video features Alynn-Mags

Each year in alignment with the Art Basel show, graffiti and street artists from around America and the world descend upon Miami’s Wynwood district to rejuvenate the area with a fresh coat of paint. Following a tradition started by Primary Flight, Wynwood has evolved from a bleak industrial environment into one full of life and culture. In December 2012 Lea Bruno photography travelled to Miami to capture the festivities and find out what it’s all about.

Alynn-Mags are very pleased to have been hosted by Ironlak to create their large scale mural production during Miami's Art Basel 2012.  Lea Bruno's exquisite video documentation of this moment in time couldn't have captured it better!! Many thanks to all ~ looking forward to doing it all again next year!

'Heart of North Beach' art show on Valentine's Day

I will be donating my 'Lady Justine' painting to the 'Heart of North Beach', an art exhibition taking place from Thursday, February 14, 2013 through Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Live
Worms Gallery, located at 1345 Grant Avenue in North Beach. The exhibition benefits North Beach Citizens, a non-profit organization that utilizes the talents of the North Beach community to innovatively address the needs of its homeless and low-income citizens in an atmosphere of trust, integrity, and respect.

Artists were asked to depict the “heart” of North Beach through their artwork. The opening reception on Valentine’s Day is a celebration of the things we love about North Beach; from the people, places, memories, impressions, history, and activist nature of the community.

Participating artists include:  Amandalynn, Elizabeth Ashcroft, Genea Barnes, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Jack Hirschman, MOMO, and Winston Smith

Alynn-Mags showing at Known Gallery Feb. 2

This coming Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 Amandalynn and Lady Mags ( ALynn-Mags ) will be having new work exhibited at Known Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. They will be accompanied by the very talented and prolific, Jamie Oliver and Lucien Shapiro .

Amandalynn is a long time San Francisco based Muralist, Fine Artist, Conservator, and Designer. Within her fine art, Amandalynn is recognized for her sensual portraits of seductive yet secretive women. Her street art murals reflect similar imagery, which she began painting in 2001 with the Seventh Letter crew.
Lady Mags has been a graffiti writer since 2006, when she started painting tracksides in Chicago.  She has travelled extensively, painting graffiti wherever she goes.  Recently, Lady Mags has begun showing fine art in galleries across the United States.

Together, Amanda Lynn and Lady Mags are Alynn-Mags productions: a street mural and fine art team.  Both artists are San Francisco Bay Area residents, and together they have over two decades of painting experience.  Alynn-Mags has been immediately recognized for their large scale spray paint and acrylic brush paint mural combinations found across the country. In their fine art collaborations, the duo also merges different mediums and techniques to create their pieces. Lady Mags often works with abstract watercolor imagery, which Amandalynn incorporates into  her detailed illustrations.
This will be the first time the team has exhibited their combined work within a gallery setting, and are honored to have their fine art debut held at the Known Gallery in Los Angeles
