I just finished up one of my largest fine art pieces, which is titled 'Anna May'. The inspiration was derived from the Chinese-American silent film actress, Anna May Wong. This piece is 4' tall and 6' wide, painted in acrylic and metallic paints. I incorporated flowers that represent positive intentions within Chinese culture, as well as a strong Chinese dragon image. Anna May Wong was nicknamed the 'Dragon Lady' because of several films in which she depicted that character. This piece will be on display at Known Gallery in Los Angeles this coming Saturday, February 2nd, 2013.
