A beautiful memory and a constant inspiration is what Kazu will always be to me. He was a huge influence on me during my schooling at the Academy. I took Kazu's class three times because he was someone who really took the time to understand an artist, their technique, and ultimately their passion. I came back one time as an alumni to sit in on Kazu's class, I wasn't in the best place in my life, and somewhat frustrated in my position as an artist. Kazu introduced me to his class, and referred to me as 'Prolific', which was shocking to me. However, ever since that moment, I knew that if someone as prolific as Kazu would say such a thing about me, that I had to live up to it, so I'm trying...and I will never forget this wonderful artist, teacher, and friend.
