One year ago, the Few N Far women gathered in Oakland, CA to paint their first all female mural production. Organized by crew member, Meme, women traveled from all over the country to paint. This was just the beginning of what became an amazing year for Few and Far. We painted, traveled, and formed strong friendships over the course of this past year. To celebrate the greatness of what has evolved in such a short span of time, Few and Far , is hosting a one year anniversary art show on Friday, June 8th, 2012 at the Bherd Gallery in Seattle. Many of the women will be in attendance at the opening, then painting the next day in Seattle. If you are in the area, come out and show some love to some really amazing women!
Participating artists:
Amanda Lynn (San Francisco)
Reds (Miami)
Lady Mags (Oakland)
Siloette/Meagan Spendlove (San Francisco)
Meme (Northern CA)
Hops (Seattle)
179 (Seattle)
Ksra (Seattle)
Glow (SD)
Dime (Oakland)
Agana (Oakland)
Erin Yoshi (LA)
TooFly (NYC)
Ursula Young (Northern CA)
REZ (Northern CA)
Erin Ashford (San Francisco)
These are the two pieces that I will have on display. The first one is titled 'Queen Bees', and is inspired by all the ladies who participated in our Miami Art Basel 2011 Queen Bee mural production. The painting is a compilation of all the sketches done, each lady is represented somewhere within the painting. It was a really fun piece to work on, as I felt like I was paying tribute to each woman individually and showing how each supports the image as a whole.
This second piece is titled 'Lady Mags', and was inspired by her! The inspiration photo was take by Nick Lea Bruno . Both paintings are done in acrylic on wood and collaged papers.

Flora N Fauna Creek Spot
Last weekend the lovely Lady Mags , the talented Nick Lea Bruno , and myself, Amandalynn hiked into the woods, dropped down into an enchanted, graffiti filled, muddy, playland day spot and painted all day. We embarked on this adventure as part of our upcoming Flora N Fauna video project, dedicated to Alynn-Mags mural productions. We taped up a canvas, painted the spot, pulled our canvas off the wall and are planning on installing it in Cassel Gallery for our June 9th 'Flora N Fauna' exhibition. Here's some photos of our adventure....

Flora N Fauna Mural / Art Show
'Flora N Fauna' mural project by Amandalynn and Lady Mags
is complete! This 4 month installation is dedicated to the theme of
'Flora N Fauna', which means all plant life and the creatures
surrounding it. Lady Mags and Amandalynn are a fairly recent team of
street art painters, who have completed several mural projects, though they have been painting together for less than a
year. They are about to start an
Alynn-Mags Summer Series sponsored by Ironlak , including a mural in NYC this June and more around the Bay Area. Both are part of the all female street art collective Few N Far. The next step for the Flora N Fauna project is an upcoming art exhibit at Cassel Gallery
on June 9th, 2012, where Lady Mags and Amandalynn will be accompanied
by several other talented artists, all exhibiting work tied to the same
theme of Flora N Fauna, and rounding out the show with mural and floral installations.
Coming soon will be a special video dedicated to the Flora N Fauna mural
and Art show, shot and developed by Nick Lea Bruno . We also will be releasing a photo documentary of the Flora N Fauna process by Erin Ashford . Many thanks to our sponsors, Ironlak , Brammo , Scuderia West

Few N Far Road Trip
About two weeks ago, the Few and Far women hit the
road. Traveling from Sacramento, through San Francisco and Los Angeles,
we ended up in Tijuana Mexico. Along the way, a whole group of us
(Amanda Lynn, Meme, Hops, Agana, Tatianna Suarez, Glow, Reds, Lady Mags,
Erin Ashford and Beth Emmerich) stopped only to bomb the freeway and
abandoned construction sites, to create two dope large scale mural
productions, to skate in San Diego, to party, to cross the border and
more.
Highlights? Hops got put on lock down in her motel room with a baseball bat while a crazy person knocked down doors in LA, Beth rode a motorcycle in SF, Glow stuck it out up high, on a ladder, in the heat, Reds bombed the highway sound wall, stray dogs and taco stands in TJ, Mags snuck into an abandoned construction site for a quick straight letter, Agana, Meme and Reds bombed the streets of TJ when all of a sudden 8 cops with AK 47s rolled up on them….
The trip ended with all of us on line for hours, waiting to get across the border back into the US from Mexico. Mags-
